First steps & first friends
Our early childhood program runs from infant care through junior kindergarten, and each stage builds on the one before it.
From the earliest days we focus on safety, personalized care, and keeping parents connected. As children grow, the curriculum grows with them to include social-emotional development, global citizenship, and foundational skills in phonics, reading, and STEM.
We welcome family involvement and encourage a parent-teacher approach where the needs of every child come first.
Four programs & one path
Infant and toddler care are offered at our Costa Mesa campus, and preschool and junior kindergarten are offered at both campuses.
A blended approach & a joyful one
Our philosophy pulls themes from some of the most well-recognized ideas in early childhood education.
Phonics-based
Our academic program is phonics-based and uses the ZooPhonics curriculum. Along with letters and letter sounds, children work on pre-writing, pre-math, and pre-reading skills, and STEM activities are woven in alongside the core curriculum.
Self-directed
Throughout the day children have time to choose lessons that interest them in practical life, sensory and tactile work, culture, and the arts, which builds independence and confidence along with their natural curiosity.
Play-based
Learning is meant to be fun, joyful, and creative, so children take part in hands-on activities built around gardening, cooking, yoga, and meditation, and they even help tend our butterfly garden and tortoise habitat.
Stay connected & in the know
Our staff shares daily reports with you, and the DaycareWebWatch family app sends photos, videos, and announcements through a secure, easy-to-use application.
Our early childhood program is accredited by the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA), Accreditation International (AI), and the Middle States Association (MSA).
