Our history
Robert and Della Page Gibbs founded Page in 1908, and the same family has led the school through four generations of change and growth.
The core principles of integrity, respect, responsibility & perseverance have stayed at the center of Page through more than a century of change.
Humble beginnings
Page Academy began in 1908 as a private military school for boys in grades 1 through 12.
For over five decades, the school cultivated leaders who served our nation with distinction, many reaching top-ranking positions in the military and excelling in corporate fields. Those early years laid a strong foundation for everything that followed.
In the mid-1960s, Page moved from its military affiliation to a college preparatory curriculum. The school kept its commitment to values-based education while embracing a broader academic focus, shaping students into well-rounded individuals ready for academic and life challenges.
From 1908 & still growing
Robert and Della Page Gibbs found Page in Los Angeles as a private military academy for boys.
Page becomes a neighborhood school in Hancock Park, on Larchmont Boulevard.
The school moves from its military affiliation to a college preparatory curriculum.
The fourth generation of the same family leads Page, with Kristin Vaughan Dickson, M.Ed. at the helm.
Tradition & what comes next
Today, one-to-one digital instruction and project-based learning create an engaging environment where students become lifelong learners.
We focus on a positive, nurturing atmosphere where students are engaged, knowledgeable, self-reflective, and self-directed. Over the past decade, Page graduates have gone on to attend high schools across the state and colleges and universities around the world.
